Welcome to Llandrindod U3A!
Our full meetings take place on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Hotel Metropole, Llandrindod Wells.
We meet for coffee at 10:00am followed by a talk given by a guest speaker on a subject of general interest. Prospective members are offered ONE free visit to any of our general meetings. Come along - you will be sure of a warm welcome!
Take up a new interest!
U3A Members benefit from being able to join any of the growing number of Interest Groups which cover a wide variety of subjects. Some members join the U3A just to be able to participate in our friendly Interest Groups led by knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders.
Recent Interest Group Updates
We are delighted to announce the formation of a new study group led by Lucy Housden which aims to help members identify wild flowers in the field.
Art Group Exhibition
The Art Group are held an exhibition of members' work in the Gallery at the Radnorshire Museum during December 2016 and January 2017. The exhibition included paintings, sketches, photographs and more with many works being for sale.
Garden Visiting Group
In September the group visited the gardens at Ystrad House in Knighton. You can see photos of their visit.
In August the Art Group held a full day workshop at Bleddfa Art Centre near Knighton where they were shown various water colour techniques. Photos and some examples of their work are on the Art group's page.
Church Visiting Group
For its May outing, the Group visited Old Radnor Church. Among the many interesting features are these medieval tiles.
Guest Speaker Kevin Russell on Internet Radio
You can listen to Kevin's show on Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The Phoenix website gives details of the show and how to listen.
