Alighting at the National Museum, some chose to go down to the Cardiff Bay area, others shopping, lunching in the Arcades, others to the Museum or Art Gallery. A couple even found a boat trip from the bay back to the Castle in the centre of town, which after working in Cardiff for years I did not know about!

In the afternoon the U3A Welsh Conference was the main option, for me the highlights were an excellent speaker from St Fagan’s and a recital by Zoe a soprano from the Welsh National Opera.
